Global Intervention Group — Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites, services, and the SMART Alert SMS program offered by Global Intervention Group (“GIG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our site or enrolling in SMART Alert, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are

2. Eligibility; Authorized Use
SMART Alert enrollment is limited to authorized law-enforcement partners and other approved personnel. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and secure.
3. SMART Alert SMS Program

Opt-in & Consent. Enrollment requires first-party consent via our web form at globalinterventiongroup.org/alerts or signed in-person consent. We use double opt-in: after you submit, we send a confirmation SMS; activation occurs only after you reply YES.

Opt-out & HELP. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP.

Disclosures. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Delivery. Message delivery may be limited by your carrier or coverage. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Program purpose. Alerts relate to active rescue operations, training, safety updates, and coordination with authorized partners only.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to misuse our services, including attempting unauthorized access, interfering with service operation, or using alerts for any purpose outside authorized safety and rescue coordination.
5. Not an Emergency Dispatch Service
GIG is not a 911 provider or emergency dispatch center. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. SMART Alert is an operational notification tool to support authorized partners.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy (https://globalinterventiongroup.org/privacy) explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using our services, you consent to those practices.
7. Intellectual Property
All site content is owned by GIG or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute content except as permitted by law or with our written permission.
8. Disclaimers
Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, GIG and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of our services.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold GIG harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the services or violation of these Terms.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new “Effective date.” Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
